The Music House for Children’s teachers are chosen for their love of teaching children and skills in their instruments and singing. Many are performers in their own right, however we look for commitment and professional initiative when working in a range of settings from schools to nursery sites, children’s centres and in pupils’ homes.

Private one to one instrumental teaching in London homes, group tuition in schools and at our music school, music workshops and shows are all part of freelance work a music teacher may get involved with.

Music teachers based in London should be musically qualified, reliable and responsible for their own tax and National Insurance.

The Music House provides ongoing support through pre-term training, early years music training, concert opportunities, networking and advice.

Currently our music teachers work in:
Private homes – one to one weekly instrumental and singing lessons with children and adults
Music House school – group instrumental, music appreciation and workshops
Nursery settings – music making sessions with singing, dancing and instrumental exploration
Primary schools – Wider Opportunities, after school clubs, classroom music
Educational sites for projects, birthday events and holiday activities
