well as fun for each child. Music and movement - unlimited drop-in number
As a drop-in session of 40 minutes very young children have a wonderful time learning about music through singing, moving, dancing, with percussive instruments together with a parent or friend. Held in Bush Hall's
performance space children engage socially and learn pulse, tempo, pitch,
dynamics through a variety of traditional songs, Music House's own
repertoire and songs from across the world. Using puppets, scarves, boats
and bubbles, it's a truly magical time for this age group. These educational
and inspiring sessions lay the foundations of musical learning that will
never leave the child. Bush Kids - maximum 12 per class
Having enjoyed drop-in music activities, three year olds are now ready to
engage in these sessions without a parent being present. A carefully
structured programme ensures that children learn about the rudiments of
musicianship through instruments, flash cards, moving to music, musical
adventures and dancing. With influences from Dalcroze, Colourstrings,
MusikGarten and Music House's own early years music programme sessions present music from different styles - from Mozart to Brazilian, Romantic and African. With our links to The Royal College of Music these children enjoy the experience of live musicians presenting instruments from saxophone to bassoon. The foundations of music are all achieved through these highly popular classes and undoubtedly set up children musically for life. Bush Tots - maximum 15 per class

these classes cannot be underestimated. Music engages and supports a baby and parent in every aspect of bonding, social awareness, physical
development, sound response and engaging with others around them. Using traditional melodies and songs adults move their baby in an enormous variety of ways. They gently rock, dance and lift up high and wiggles. Bubbles, ribbons, puppets are used to support visual engagement, sensory development and bonding with their adult. Time is always given to observe, participate and enjoy at the baby's pace. These high quality music sessions provide parent and baby with a joyous and intimate time. |
